Welcome!

Welcome to Dimensional Death, a Final Fantasy XIV Free Company that is currently on Excalibur.

Our Free Company is based around the spirit of cooperation. If you are friendly, helpful, responsible, committed, and able to take a joke or two, you are quite welcomed to join us! We are still searching for raiders, as well as casual players and crafters. Part of the fun is getting better, improving your levels or equipment, and sometimes you need the extra help to do that. That is what Dimensional Death stands for. United, friendly, helpful.

If you are interested in joining us contact any of the officers in-game(Ayasu Lemieux, Celedh Knight, Haldis Omholt, Slvr Stryker, Taber Tia or Laude Valiquette). If you're interested in raiding with us, please use the Raiding Application link on the right side bar.

Even if you are not interested in raiding, we still like having friendly people, crafters for the housing, or just people to chat with during the slower moments.

FFXIV Role Call
« on: July 07, 2013, 06:30:39 PM »
To start things off.

The Dimensional Death community is going to expand into the Free Company. We already had a taste of it during beta, but for now its not much more than what a Linkshell provides, aka for chatting with your group. But that will change, either in Open Beta or in retail. So we want to start planning things.

We want to be as self-sufficient as possible, and for that we'll need to work on our crafts as well. For example, Wood Workers will be able to make furniture for our Headquarters when we get one, probably going to have other things like carpets from weavers... we don't have the full details of course, but outside of cosmetics, we'll want to be functional as well, such as making armors to help guildmates keep up to par with gear as they level up, cut down on costs of having to buy them off NPCs, and make them more
efficient with materias.

Additionally, the cost of getting a house is said to be high. http://www.ffxivinfo.com/ is guestimating that you'd need all of the gil you get from questing from level 1 to 50, 3 times over, and that's possibly the smallest house. So obviously we might ask everyone to pitch in, as a community, to get things running. It will be cool, no doubt, but we need everyone's collaboration of course :)

For that purpose, we'll be dividing the various crafts. We'd like to know which craft you are interested in. Its not a 'set in stone' as much as just gauging what people are interested in, and trying to cover all of the crafts. And if a craft has less people, it might tip people into filling that spot for us too.

I will be listing it here, and updating the list as people answer up to this thread with their own. Note that the Disciple of the Land (Botanist, Miner, Fishier) aren't exactly
crafts, but are listed for information, as if you need certain kind of materials, you know who to ask to harvest some for you. Let's work to make Dimensional Death of the biggest, friendly and functional Free Company ever!

Ayasu : Leatherworking, Goldsmithing, Cooking (Mining, Botany)
Vea : Carpenter (Botany)
Celedh : Blacksmith, Armorer (Mining)
Jed : Alchemy (Botany)
Kreme : Armorer (Mining, Botany)
Ox : Carpenter, Weaving (Fishing)
Wekya : Cooking (Fishing)

---

Footstool : EVERYTHING
Lucie : Carpenter, Weaver (Botanist) Level 50, Leatherworker (high)

Haven't really dipped into crafting these past beta weekends, but I know I'll be focusing on Alchemy for crafting, so I guess Botany for the gathering one?

I currently have botanist, woodworker and weaver at 50, and I intend to have leatherwork at 50, hopefully in time for release. I intend to be taking mining and fishing and eventually alchemist but its not on my hit list just yet.

As for the other classes, probably eventually but since I have limited use for them with the exception of culinarian and goldsmithing, they are on a really far back burner. Got a lot of catch up on release, and everything else to 50 first. We'll see if I like the new crafting system, I liked the old one!

Not a true Legacy player (didn't pay the sub when it went live) But here's my profile http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/rc/personal/character

Things have changed and you basically have to redo the quests in crafting but  can offer a hand when I get the hang of the new crafting. I didnt do much crafting on the P4 beta I leveled ACN ARC PUGL to 20.

Rolling on a Legacy server was a good idea things wont be outrageously priced.

Just joining DD come early access.

I'll be mainly focused on DoH and DoL as my primary jobs.
So I'll be doing everything.

The new crafting is pretty fun -- leaps and bounds more streamlined than 1.0

Ren and Conkuur, I'm not sure if you guys got invites this past weekend(I didn't save a screenshot of the roster x.x), but Celedh or I should be on during early access. ^^

No I was shopping guilds/LS on Reddit today and saw you. I was in another LS but they decided to go to Midgarsormr last minute to start fresh and I really didn't want to. Plus I wanted a smaller more personal guild/LS who focused on this game not 3 other MMO's as well lol. I was in like 5 LS's from 1.0 and always was last one standing lol.

I just want a decent static grp of people I can grow to become friends with, and enjoy the game.

Feel like a failure, downloaded the beta and didn't even get past the opening sequence before I had something come up and I stopped.

I suppose I have to get the game and give it a try.

I haven't decided all of what I'm going to do yet, but Armorer is high on my list. I might do Carpentry as well. Both of these are at a mere lvl 9 right now, I leveled them to that in 1.0.

Oh hello

Leather and Blacksmith are what I was working on when 1.0 ended.  I haven't touched it since I started playing 2.0, but I'll probably try to finish those off before I do any other.
