Welcome!

Welcome to Dimensional Death, a Final Fantasy XIV Free Company that is currently on Excalibur.

Our Free Company is based around the spirit of cooperation. If you are friendly, helpful, responsible, committed, and able to take a joke or two, you are quite welcomed to join us! We are still searching for raiders, as well as casual players and crafters. Part of the fun is getting better, improving your levels or equipment, and sometimes you need the extra help to do that. That is what Dimensional Death stands for. United, friendly, helpful.

If you are interested in joining us contact any of the officers in-game(Ayasu Lemieux, Celedh Knight, Haldis Omholt, Slvr Stryker, Taber Tia or Laude Valiquette). If you're interested in raiding with us, please use the Raiding Application link on the right side bar.

Even if you are not interested in raiding, we still like having friendly people, crafters for the housing, or just people to chat with during the slower moments.

Dimensional Death Rules(WoW)

These are our rules. If you have any questions or require clarification on any of rules, please contact Ayasu via forum PM or in-game.

Please note that these rules are subject to change. It is the responsibility of individual guild members to ask for clarification and to be aware of the current rules and changes. I will gladly answer all of your questions, but it is quite impossible to just "know" if you understand. Thank you.

EVENT AND CONDUCT RULES

General Rules:

* Please do not run with PUGs(Pick Up Groups) of raids with lockouts we have planned for the upcoming week. If you are not sure of what raids we are running, they will be posted on both the in-game guild calendar. We will attempt to have calendar invites posted NO LATER THAN Monday evening.

* Be courteous and mindful of your guild mates. Remember that text can be a horrible medium for communication and, as such, there can be misunderstandings.

General Raid Rules

*Repeat Mistakes - While we understand that mistakes can happen(and we all make them), we will not tolerate repeat mistakes. We understand that some people may not understand HOW a mechanic works until they've been brutally murdered by it, however, but if the boss is LITERALLY trying to beat it into your skull, and you don't get that you shouldn't be getting hit by that, you will be called out for it.

*Parents - If your children cannot take care of themselves without supervision, then you may not be considered for a raiding position. We've had issues with couples that were parents raiding with us in the past and their kids were constant holdups for the raid. We understand and appreciate that you want to give your kids the attention they need and deserve, if Mom and Dad are raiders, then that's 8 other people you're holding up while changing Junior's diapers.

*Couples/Friends/"Package Deals" - No. We do not honor package groups. Each raider is held to his or her own merit, and we will not honor "I won't raid if my BFF can't." If your BFF stands in fire, and you don't, then they will be benched. Every application is separate. Every raider is their own person. Every person who doesn't understand that Fire = Bad can go stand in the Shrine where it's safe.

*AFKs - We all understand that sometimes you had too much to drink and your bladder calls. If you have a bladder the size of a golfball, you may want to be careful about your liquid intake. We take a break half way through the raid -- you're a big kid, hold it.

Event times

*10-man/Flex raid schedule: (Please note, this schedule may change)
**TBD

Vent and Raid Chat Rules
*Ventrilo is for use by guild members only.
**Exceptions include: PUG'd raiders; friends of guild members, but ONLY if cleared with Ayasu first.

*No disruptive Vent/Raid chatter. Disruptive Vent/raid chatter includes: talking over the raid leader and assistants during a fight, prolonging a conversation to the point where the raid leader cannot speak over you, any joke that might be seen as remotely offensive. Basically, don't be immature. Personal conversations should be taken to tells, or another channel. Raid chat is for conveying useful information to the raid, not for talking about your weekend plans.

*Being able to hear Vent during a raid is required, as it helps to ensure that you are on task and hearing all strategy and commands from the raid leader. If you cannot, or will not get on vent, this will affect your inclusion for raid invites.

Warnings

*Dimensional Death works on a 3-Strikes, you're out ruling system.

"Warn-able" offenses include, but are not limited to the following examples:
*Trade Spam
*Disrespecting any member of the guild
*Causing a disruption in guild or raid chat
*Misrepresentation of the Guild (making Dimensional Death look "bad" in the public eye)
*Harassing other guilds(this does not include harassing Alliance guilds. That's part of the game, after all)
*Flash AFKs during raids
*Constant tardiness/holding up a raid

*Other warn-able offenses are left to leader discretion.

Zero Tolerance
*Ninja Looting -Dimensional Death has in effect a Zero Tolerance rule for Ninja Looting. We are not, and will not be associated with, Ninja Looters. If you are found guilty of ninja looting ANY item from ANY group for ANY reason, you will be removed from the guild.

*Ignore lists -
If someone in the raid is on your ignore list, you MUST remove them for the duration of the raid. In the past, there have been major communication breakdowns due to these issues, and we will not stand for a repeat of situations that have occured previously.

If it's known that you have a raid member on ignore, you will receive one reminder prior to raid start. If it's found out that you still have them on ignore, you will be immediately removed from the raid.

This is a highly punishable offense that may result in a loss of loot privileges or permanent removal from the raid group.

LOOT DISTRIBUTION RULES

10-man Raid Loot Rules
Loot will be handled as follows:

*All non-tier loot will weighted as followed: Main Spec > Off Spec/Alt Main Spec. You will be allowed one of each category, per raid week.
*All rolls will be made using the game's built in "Request Roll" feature.

**Main Spec Rolls - Need
**Off Spec Rolls -- Greed
**Don't want gear -- Pass
**Gear not rolled on will be DE'd and the mats placed in the bank

* If you already received an item, and are wishing to roll on a piece that no one is rolling on, you must speak up before it is master looted to the disenchanter/rolled on for greed/Transmog rolls.

*Legendary item progression will be handled on a case by case basis as determined by the leadership. They will not be handled under normal loot rules.

ATTENDANCE

If you are logged on and have access to the raid where the night's event is taking place, then you are expected to attend. Failing to attend may result in warnings given, depending on the leaders' decision. Just because you may have all the items that raid drops, it doesn't mean that you're exempt from helping others and, in turn, helping the guild as a whole in its progression.

If you are marked as "Accepted" on the Calendar, you are expected to be online for the event. Attendance will be counted the NIGHT PRIOR to a raid night. If something comes up that causes you to miss a raid you have marked "Accepted" on, then you MUST either post on the forums or contact a leader with a reason why you will be missing the event. Failing to do so may result in warnings. We understand emergency situations, but try to post at least an hour prior to event start time.

If you are going to be away for an extended period of time (we're talking a few weeks here,) please post a thread under the forum topic "The Dusty Trail" Doing so lets us know that you've got more pressing matters and simply aren't abandoning the guild. No negative marks will be held against you in the meantime. Also, it lets us know that we'll have to fill the gaps left on our events, so it benefits everyone to tell us.

AFK/Disconnects
This rule extends to prolonged AFK periods of 5 minutes or more. If "flash" AFKs become problematic, then you will be removed from the the raid and lose your raid slot for that night. It doesn't take long to tell somebody that you have to go AFK and why, so please be considerate to your fellow guild and raid members.

If, however, you are disconnected due to power outage, medical emergencies, etc, then please let us know after the fact. After each event night, the list of attendance should be posted, each containing who was there for the duration of the raid. If sudden disappearances are a recurring problem, then there's a good chance you'll go home for the night empty-handed and possibly lose your raid spot.

Idle status
If you're gone for an extended period of time without saying anything to anyone, expect demotions, or guild removal. We'll assume you've quit WoW after a certain amount of time and that will make us sad.

RANKS

Guild Rank Details

There are currently 7 different guild ranks. Their names and privileges are as follows:

*Guild Leader -- Leader of the guild.

*Officer(Requires Authenticator) -- Assists the Guild Leader in various tasks, including, but not limited to -- raid leading, bank maintenance, fielding guild member questions, etc.  Will have higher repair fees accessible from the guild bank.

*Raid Leader -- This rank is specifically for those designated as raid leaders by the officers, as well as RBG leads. They have some of the permissions of an officer concerning the guild bank.

*Raider -- Any other character that raids. This will NOT include alts. No access to the raid bank. Standard repair fees accessible from the guild bank. Raiders will be required to have gone through a minimum 6-raid-night trial period(normally 3 weeks from the time they start raiding with the guild). Members on Raider status may request Gems and Enchants from the guild. Raid ready alts will also be promoted to this rank.

*Initiate -- Any non-raider or RBG member of the guild or, those with the intention to raid or PVP who are in their application trial period. In order to be promoted from Initiate to Raider/RBGer, you must sign up to the forums and submit an application via the Application form linked on the front page of the forums. Initiates will have reduced repair fees accessible from the guild bank, but very limited guild bank access.

*Scootaloo -- Any new member of the guild who has no intention to raid(low level characters, friends of guildies, etc). Will have NO guild bank access for withdrawls and no repair fees accessible. Scootaloos will be promoted to Initiateafter 2 weeks of being in the guild, and only after asking an Officer for a promotion. Scoots will not be eligible for a raiding spot unless they submit a Raiding Application.

Bank Rules
*Raiding members will have access to 250G worth of repairs a day(150 for Initiates). Please do not use this unless you've been running dungeons and raids with other guild members.

*Please note that if you place a large amount of an item that does not belong in the bank(such as low level crafted or BoE items), these items will be mailed back to you by a leader, or sold for repairs.

*Please note that once you deposit items or gold into the bank, they are considered Guild property.

*Items under the raid tab will be handled on a per-raid basis. Flasks will not be given to PUG'd raid members(excluding good friends of the guild, though this will be handled on a per-person basis).

Item Requesting
*Items and gear in the Raid Bank and Request Only tabs may be asked for by any member of the guild. If it is a leveling item, it will be placed in the Misc tab. If it is a piece of level 90 epic gear, it will be placed in one of the two "locked" tabs. To request an item, please do so by sending an in-game mail to an officer. If you are not online at the moment the officer checks their mail, it will be mailed back to you.

*Items needing guild leader approval are items such as BoE Epics, Epic Patterns, gems, and enchanting mats

*If you see an item in this tab that you would like, please send a leader a tell or in-game mail requesting the item. Depending on the item, the leader will either give it to you, or send the request to the guild leader for clearance. Depending on the item, have a better reason for wanting it besides "It's a thing, and I want it."

Suggested Addons
The following is a list of addons that, as a guild, we will require you to have, as well as a list of rather helpful-in-
general addons. We suggest you sign up for and download the Curse Client from http://www.curse.com/client in order to keep your addons up to date. All links on this page will point to their articles on Curse.com. Please note this list will be updated from time to time and is a work in progress. If you have a suggestion for an addon to add here, please PM Ayasu on the forums.

 General/Raiding

Deadly Boss Mods or another Boss mod -- This mod is pretty much THE most important mod you'll install for raiding. This addon gives you ability timers and warnings for all bosses, including Heroic bosses.

Healing

HealBot Continued or some other sort of healing mod -- Healing is a tough job, and addons help alleviate some of the stress. HealBot(or Grid/Clique, if you so choose) is a configurable raid frame/healing addon
that supports click-healing/re-buffing on your raid. It is required that all healers have some sort of addon to help track the raid's debuffs, to help keep the raid healthy.
